Winner of Request #4: Namae wo Yonde from Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha Movie 1st Original Soundtrack CD2

This OST piece is truly touching and tearful. I have never watch Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha and this song hooked me up to watch it but unfortunately, I just dropped it.

Anyway, for those who are eagerly waiting for Aishita Onna, I hate but have to admit that it seems I am struggling to play it perfectly but still, I am trying hard.

The dilemma here is that I have made my PROMISES to each accepted requester that I will transcribe their as soon as possible. Transcribing to make a score only takes me 1/4 of the time for the complete set but 3/4 remained time is for my practice and record.

So I think it would be nice if I try to do things concurrently. Practicing and transcribing at the same time. In that way, you guys will wait in shorter time for the complete sheet is being delivered.

And, that’s my first plan for this summer.

It’s great to be able come here again for my little talent to contribute to music and serve my few fellow audiences in my honor to transcribe, arrange and perform your amazing requested songs that are being forgotten.

First thing first, the reasons for my break time are
– lack of motivation due to low YouTube stats (like, view, comment, subscriber gain and lost) Don’t any of you tell me the ways to increase stats. I know that general people have tendency of listening to new pop music rather than old ones. date a live デート・ア・ライブ OP [piano] But I can’t also stand to watch many good old amazing old melodies are going into distinction. With my limited skill, I always hop that I could somehow bring them back to few people’ attention.
– my last month of college was pretty extreme. I barely managed a little time for my hobby.
– each time I choose a hard song to transcribe such as Sakura ga satai yo, Aishita Onna 愛した女and Mischievous of Alice (The most ambitious transcription), I exhausted myself before I even know it. I ended up almost giving up on those.

But I know for sure that I won’t give up easily because I won’t make the same mistake again.

It’s summer time

I am so excited that at the moment, I have nothing to do and very easily get bored. The only two things I can get rid of my boredom is watching anime and practicing piano.

I don’t usually watch currently airing because I hate to wait each week for the new episode. However, after watching around 177 series and movies in the last 14 months to become an anime addict, it’s getting harder to find a complete anime that attracts my taste.

I ended up watching some current animes

The best Spring 2013 anime Suisei no GargantiaThe setting is perfect. Artwork is so amazing that I feel like I was inside beautiful Gargantia. The story is not new but perfectly narrated and hooks up viewer. I watched all 7 episode at once and OMG, it was 6 am already, the day before the final school exam.

Well, that’s all for the beginning of this summer.

Wait, I forgot to mention that the next requested winner is Namae wo Yonde from Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha.

Let rock this summer!!

Aishita Onna 愛した女 from G-Senjou no Maou

It is almost complete.

I finally managed to beat all the school works last week and had completely no time for music. It’s the last month of the semester before summer time so I will be also quite busy this whole month because of upcoming exams and finals.

Also, I want to mention the request poll. I am going close it soon because I have quite a lot now. The deal here is I only accept 3 more requests before temporarily closing it. By the way, I want to thank you all of requester for taking me to a lot of wonderful music. They all suit my taste more or less. I don’t know why but I has assumed that the requested pieces should be hard, have fast tempo, lively melodies and etc. Bu t I were wrong. Most of them are soft, mellow, simple yet elegant.

After 4 year, Aishita Onna 愛した女 is going to be played again by you and me.

Stay tune!

Continuation for the path I have chosen

The 2 versions of date a live [piano] デート・ア・ライブ OP haves unexpectedly high view counts and likes counts than I had imagined and predicted. Also, they have brought a lot of subscribers to my channel.  As I stated before, date a live デート・ア・ライブ is a great song and I decided to experiment with it: transcribed and recorded to YouTube. In just a short time, the download times of the sheet and midi far surpass than all my transcriptions except Sakura Nagashi.

Wow, I felt so great that a lot of people have finally take notice at me.

I am not being unsatisfied but somehow, by this experiment, I realize:

“That is how music nowadays exist. A song shines at it brightest light at its very first period of time. In a first few months, listener go to the music store to buy a new singer/album, go searching on the Internet the new music.

…then it fades away its existence…..

1 year, 2 years and many years has passed….

The song seems like it was not existed in the first place. People are forgetting the songs they used to listen to and continue find new music to suit their ears.”

That was I thought. Even though I know that each song has its own sustainability to shine but I just can’t stand the fact that a lot of music are going into oblivion.

“Music is Qualia!” In scientific term, sound is a qualia that refers to individual instances of subjective, conscious experience. Each note on the piano just has different frequencies that our, human brain detect its differently.

Thinking like a scientist surely makes me feel void in the heart.

“Oh, right! Just how many song that I used to enjoyed that has been deleted from my collection. Oh my God, I hardly remember as if they were not existed.

The continuation of music creation also means the oblivion the old composition is going into oblivion.

But fortunate enough, I know for sure that in some people heart and soul, they still crave for those masterpiece of melody.

How can I tell? By receiving request, I luckily know that there are people are craving for the “being-forgotten” melody and find a new way of enjoying it: they are entrusting me depict each amazing note into a complete sheet so that they can enjoy by playing it. Is anything happier for them than they themselves create the notes they love so much by their own hand on the piano?

I have encountered a lot of YouTube pianists who only transcribe “current” anime OP and ED song. They have no intention of transcribe old good songs. I wonder why. One obvious reason is that the cover of an old song will not attract people attention and will not have much view count than the cover of new song regardless of which one is better.

Ping back at me, myself, a self-claim pianist, I, the name is Vangakuz, have a eternal mission: going back to the past and keep finding the music that is going to be forgotten. I know it is hard to attract people by doing so. But it does not mean that I reject new coming melody from the world. I will keep on going contribute.

It is time to sacrifice for music as music has done so to me…………….
